Welcome to the Maria Irene Fornes website. The site was launched in March 2004 to provide a base for those who know Fornes' work well - and already recognise her as one of the greatest US playwrights - through to those who are in the enviable position of discovering the importance of her work.

The site aims to develop an accurate, up to date, resource encouraging communication and collaboration. The site normally includes a Discussion Forum but in the face of lots of spam it has been removed for a while as part of a search for a more secure bulletin board. Please check back again for an update on this.
